Hemsby

Hemsby is a busy holiday area, and the surgery is situated next to large caravan and chalet holiday parks. Easy parking is available in the Cemetery Car Park. Street Parking outside the surgery is available to registered disabled badge holders only. There is a dispensary within the surgery which can supply medication to anyone living more than a mile from a pharmacy and to all our temporary patients.

Appointments

Hemsby Medical Centre operates a Telephone Consultation service for our patients. To make a doctors appointment we ask you to telephone us. Our trained receptionists will ask some details including a contact number. They will enquire as to the nature of the problem in order to assist you best. A Doctor or Nurse Practitioner will call you back on the contact number given. The consultation is conducted over the telephone with follow up appointments with a nurse, nurse practicioner, doctor or other healthcare practitioner as required on the same day.

There are appointments bookable in advance with doctors, nurse practitioners, healthcare assistants and phlebotomy. Please ask reception for details

Repeat Prescriptions

Patients may request repeat medications listed on the right hand side of prescription.

You may do this by sending us the prescription right hand side with the boxes ticked for the medication you require. Please post these in the white repeat prescription outside the surgery foyer or the red letterbox in the foyer when the surgery is closed. You may also send us a fax request. We are happy to receive repeat request through the posts. Some local chemists will collect repeat slips and deliver them to the surgery on your behalf.

Please allow 2 working days from when your request reaches the surgery for your prescription to be produced. If you wish to collect your repeat in person, could we request that this is done in the afternoon.

Test Results

The surgery will contact patients with abnormal test results or significant findings on X–Ray or Ultrasound tests. If you wish to confirm your normal result(s), could we ask that you contact the surgery in the afternoon.
